[REVIEW:] Zeh Bounce pop-up flash reflector review – Photo-Tips

Posted on Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Accessories, Lighting, Reviews
Viewed 40 times

Zeh Bounce from Zeh Photographic is a reflector for the built-in (pop-up) flash of your SLR camera. Pop-up flashes usually produce unpleasant results because they are small in size and positioned very closely to the lens axis. Zeh Bounce redirects the light from your pop-up flash towards the ceiling, which creates more natural results since the light source is located above the subject. — Photo-Tips Online

Recently, I traveled to Tennessee to see my brother. I took along my Canon G10 and the Apple iPad 3G along with the SD Camera Connection Kit adapter. The package, including chargers, fit nicely in a netbook case made by Samsonite. Small, light weight, and easily transported, the system worked very well during the trip. — Bill Lockhart

First off, I’m reviewing this product based on prints from Epson R800 and Pro 3800 printers, both of which are pigment-ink photo printers. My R800 is nearly 5 years old and has extensive use but still prints super quality pictures and the 3800 is brand new and fabulous. — Renee L. Theuer

[REVIEW:] Kodak’s Pulse: A digital knight in shining armour – Simon Cohen (Sync)

I’ll tell you this for free: no good deed goes unpunished.

It started the way it often does. Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl. Boy marries girl. Boy has children with girl. Boy is a hero for having given both sets of parents grandchildren.

But hero status is fleeting. It disappears altogether when the grandparents start to complain that they never get any photos of the children. — Simon Cohen

[REVIEW:] Hands on… Eye-Fi Connect X2 – Grant Gibson (Herald Scotland)

This easy way to send photos over the internet is very handy, but there are some drawbacks.

My mother-in-law doesn’t believe in making quick trips. She’ll only do the 10-mile drive to Glasgow if it’s for the whole day, and a visit to Edinburgh requires overnight accommodation. So when she decided to go to New Zealand we knew we wouldn’t be seeing her for a while – three months in fact. — Grant Gibson

[REVIEW:] Review: Spider Holster System – Wade Chi

Posted on Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Accessories, Reviews

Since starting up in the world of photography, I’ve always been a big supporter and fan of having a camera bag that doesn’t look like an obvious camera bag, which is why I love my Complete Seed with Photo Bucket and my 6-Million Dollar Home. That being said, I also really like having my camera ready-to-go with easy access (ie for wedding work). These are almost contradictory, but I went on in search of the quick-fire solution that could be concealed in one of my two camera bags – not to say I don’t love my Complete Seed. — Wade Chi

[REVIEW:] A Review of MyPublisher’s Photo Finish Hardcover – PhotoBookGirl

Posted on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Accessories, Reviews
Viewed 27 times

Back in April, I posted a quick look at MyPublisher’s new photo finish cover. The feature is only available for PC users and although MyPublisher mentioned it would be available for Mac users this summer, it hasn’t made its Mac debut yet. I suppose summer just officially started, but it would be nice if Mac users could enjoy the same features as PC users! I had to dig out an old PC in order to take advantage of the new feature, which turned out to be more complicated than I expected. — PhotoBookGirl
