[REVIEW:] Canon Powershot A3100 IS Review – Cameras.co.uk
The Canon Powershot A3100 IS is a step up on an entry level digital camera. This is mainly due to the design and build of the camera. It can take a good picture in most situations. The features on offer are solid rather than spectacular, but I thought the Powershot A3100 IS felt good in the hand and I like the simple design.Came — ras.co.uk

[REVIEW:] Printer Profiles With The ColorMunki – Edmond Terakopian (photo this & that)
Viewed 165 times
It’s always very exciting when evaluating a new product. Being one of the first on the planet to try something out that’s going to enhance one’s future workflow or a new tool which will add benefits is great. It goes without saying that this is how it felt when Canon asked me to evaluate their new 12 ink large format printer aimed at photographers; the iPF6300. — Edmond Terakopian

[REVIEW:] Kodak ESP 5250 All-In-One Printer – M. David Stone (PC MAG)
The difference between home and home office multi-function printers (MFPs) keeps getting less and less clear. Where there was once a bright line (as lawyers like to call it) between the two, there’s now a wide fuzzy gray area. Few printers make that point as well as the Kodak ESP 5250 All-In-One Printer ($149.99 direct). — M. David Stone

[REVIEW:] Canon EOS Rebel T2i – PC MAG
Canon has done it again. Last year the Canon EOS Rebel T1i ($899.99 ) along with the Nikon D5000 ($729.95 ) led the D-SLR revolution by being the first sub-$1,000 models to offer high-definition video. Capture is limited to 720p, but both cameras are capable of broadcast-quality video. The new EOS Rebel T2i ($899.pp list with 18-55mm IS kit lens) is Canon’s update to the T1i, and is currently the only sub-$1,000 D-SLR to offer 1080p30, 1080p24 and 720p60 HD video capture. Its spectacular image quality, versatile video recording options, and relatively low price earn the T2i our Editors’ Choice award. — PC MAG

[REVIEW:] Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G review – Andy Westlake (dpreview)
The Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G is one of the original group of lenses announced at the launch of the company’s Alpha system in June 2006. However its history goes back a bit further; it’s essentially a re-badge of the Minolta AF 70-200mm F2.8 APO G D SSM, which first appeared early in 2003. At the time Minolta was only making film SLRs (its first truly practical digital design, the Maxxum/Dynax 7D, appearing after the merger with Konica in September 2004), so the lens is designed to cover the 35mm full-frame format, although naturally it also works on APS-C digital SLRs. It’s therefore a natural companion to the Alpha 850 and 900 DSLRs, providing a real alternative to Canon and Nikon systems towards the top end of the market. — Andy Westlake

[REVIEW:] Pentax Optio I-10 Digital Compact Camera In Depth Review – Patrick Dean (Neutralday)
One of the more cleverly designed cameras introduced so far this year, the Pentax Optio I-10 is a digital compact camera offering 12.1 megapixels and a 5x zoom lens. Clearly the most striking aspect to the I-10, and likely its most appealing, is its old-school SLR camera styling, cleverly capturing the nostalgia of yesterday’s film cameras, while at the same time providing today’s latest features, including face detection, HD video, and a number of in-camera digital filters. — Patrick Dean

[REVIEW:] “No Plastic Sleeves” a Review of the Book – Don Giannatti (Lighting Essentials)
This is one of the best books on the holistic creation of a creative’s portfolio in quite a while. There are certainly quite a lot of portfolio books out there, and many of them are terrific. However, I like the total take on creativity and creating a unique presentation that is explored here. — Don Giannatti
