[REVIEW:] Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Lens – Lance Bowen (Beyond Megapixels)

After finally acquiring a full-frame camera I found that I had overlooked the fact that my only wide-angle zoom was an EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM. A great lens but not compatible with a full-frame. So I read and reread reviews, specs, etc., until I decided the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM was for me.
Upon opening the box I was impressed with how solidly built this lens is, albeit heavy—this lens weighs in at just over 2 pounds! Next, the huge glass, 77mm filter diameter, assured me that I was going to be able to allow a lot of light into my camera. — Lance Bowen
