Leading the pack of fresh 2009 Digital ELPHs is the new PowerShot SD970 IS packing 12 megapixels, 5X optical zoom, a big 3 inch LCD and a slightly reworked user interface. Oh, there are also a few new bells and whistles, namely; auto scene detection, blink detection and Active Display for shaking your way through photos in playback. There are also two other things: Zoom Blur and Creative Light Effect, both of which are exclusive to the SD970 only. -Brad Soo
